Schram focuses on the interplay of memory, of her lived and re-lived experience and the strength of emotions working with sculpture, painting and drawing.
A collage of reflective experiences informs the artworks; beginnings and ends, images, sounds and recollections that resonate and linger, and the feelings that surround each of these returns, repeat and inhabit the work in a multitude of different expressions in different artforms.
The work demonstrates both strength, playfulness and vulnerability, a tactile exploration, both in which she is blending diverse textures, colours and materials but representing an interior…
The alchemy and determination with which Schram sensitively handles different materials and translates remembered experiences are not depicted as a narrative in her work but as an expression of an emotion that are made into being whether as painting, drawing or sculpture.
She is currently based in Breda, the Netherlands and Caldes de Malavella, Spain.
